10. Concept Generation

The Problem:

"when you go to dip a good portion of salsa or whatever, it falls off the chip or you cant get enough. So my idea was something around making a new bowl or attachment or something that would help with this. Possibly having something curved inwards so you can scoop the right amount of dip onto a chip/cracker"

The Approach:

Concept sketches that have specific features like an entirely smooth interior and a 'lip' for dip adjustment to achieve optimal dip to chip ratio (d:c)

My Role So Far:

Before this, the group bounced between sock holder and chip bowl, and eventually landed on the bowl. I sort of feel this is where I went wrong. I should have asked for clarification on my role and gotten more involved in the problem definition/solution instead of stressing over 150 prints that got delayed because of external circumstances out of my control. It was a waste of time - time that should have been used on getting deeper into this project.

Every time we met I tried to push for something that could be 'added onto' ANY bowl to solve the problem, it seemed like they were into it, but we didn't end up that direction.
